Aside from this, CodeBlocks looks really good and I look forward to using it. Note: I installed mingw-get-setup.exe to C:\MinGW, but maybe I could have simply copied the folder under CodeBlocks over.Īnyway, I think maybe the CodeBlocks installer should be changed to install MinGW to C:\MinGW. But CodeBlock still installs MinGW under CodeBlocks in \Program Files (x86). MinGW specifically warns agains installing to any path with blank spaces, and recommends installing to C:\MinGW. I suspect that CodeBlocks is having a problem due to the blank spaces in the path (\Program Files (x86)) it installs to by default. I went to MinGW and downloaded my own MinGW gfortran to C:\MinGW, which is the default location in CodeBlocks. Auto-detect could not find gfortran, and when I entered it manually with the path, CodeBlocks still couldn't fint it.
I just loaded CodeBlocks for the first time myself, and had the same issue.
There are a lot of comments on the CodeBlocks forum about CodeBlocks not being able to find the compiler.
